What to See In Spain
Spain is large being the second largest in Western Europe and the largest in Southern Europe. With 50 million people spread across 17 regions; Spain takes a bit of understanding in order to create the perfect trip.

Typically when people think of Spain; Barcelona naturally comes to mind. Antoni Gaudi who created several of the cities landmarks in the Art Nouveau style. The most famous of the landmarks has several names; The official name is Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família but you and find it being called The Holy Family Church of the Atonement or the Atonement agrada Família church. No matter what you call it; it is a truly amazing site to behold.

In 2020 a new tourist attraction opened at Casa Batlló which takes the viewer deep into the art and life of Gaudi through a 10-D experience that encompasses 1000 screens, augmented reality, amazing sound, motion sensors and projectors.

The La Rambla is another must see in Barcelona, this is a section of the Plaça de Catalunya; which is a tree lined boulevard that is a pedestrian zone with no car traffic and is full of shops, cafes, restaurants and people watching. Make sure you take some time in the early evening to stroll and do as the locals do.

While Barcelona may be one of the top places that come to mind when planning a trip to Spain. The areas outside of the city and the regions further South contain some of the most amazing sites to behold.
Madrid is a great second choice to Barcelona for a city visit. While not as big and crowded as Barcelona; Madrid offers the visitor, history, culture, a museum district and lots to see and do.

Planning a trip to Madrid must include the Prado which is considered one of the best museums in the world. The museum is massive and will easily take the day to enjoy. The Prado is not the only highlight of the museum district is also called El Paseo del Arte or the Boulevard of the Arts; as it is also home to The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Reina Sofia National Art Museum and the CaixaForum; all are worth a visit.
The place to people watch and enjoy one of the lovely cafes is Plaza Mayor; this stone plaza is a traffic free pedestrian zone where people watching and enjoying tapas is a must.

In Saville; the Parque de María Luisa is a lovely pedestrian space that stretches a half mile and is full of gardens, trees and benches that stretch along a peaceful river. The relaxing vibe of the Plaza de España will make your trip to Spain even more enjoyable. Also in Saville is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Cathedral, the Alcazar from 712 and the La Giralda tower make up the heritage site. The Cathedral is the home of the large tomb of Christopher Columbus. Don’t miss Santa Cruz, Jewish Quarter, which is a lovely neighborhood to explore.

The region of Andalucía which houses Sevilla is also home to some small and amazing villages such as Arcos de la Frontera which is perched high up on a cliff and is made up of completely while houses and buildings. There are a total of 19 historic villages in the region and each offers something wonderful to see and do.

The Centro Cultural Flamenco; home of the famous and historical Flamenco dancing and The Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art are located in the town of Jerez de la Frontera. You can enjoy some of the towns famous sherry wine while watching Andalucian thoroughbred horses perform a ballet of traditional moves that will amaze you.

Spain’s Canary Islands will offer you a beach paradise. Gran Canaria is the most popular island, and the capital city of Las Palmas has the Playa Las Canteras which is a family friendly beach known for its calm waters and amazing fresh seafood.
