THE BEST TAPAS IN BARCELONA

Spain is one of the culturally richest countries in Europe, and that is reflected in their cuisine. Delicious, mouthwatering flavors accompanied with a beer and good conversation, without a doubt, Barcelona’s gastronomy can and will make you fall in love with the city, whether you are just visiting or you have lived there for your whole life. If you are planning a night of partying or just eating out in Barcelona, here is a list of the best tapas and where you can get them:

What: Artichoke Hearts with Iberian Ham Shavings

Where: Casa Alfoso

Tender artichoke hearts served with quail eggs, potatoes and Iberian ham shavings, this is a delicacy, and the elegant, soft flavor of the artichokes combined with the stronger of the ham makes this an exquisite combination that you cannot miss. Eating out in Barcelona is a wonderful experience.

What: Spider Tuna Tartar with Sea Urchin and Yuzu

Where: Tickets: La Vida Tapa!

With the tuna’s intensity, the briny and fresh flavor of the Uni (sea urchin) and the citrus tang of the yuzu, this dish is an ideal option for hot summer nights. Combined with a crisp tortilla and a glass of wine, you’ll have a night you won’t soon forget.

What: Goat Cheese with Tomato Confit Toast

Where: Restaurant Terra Mar

Toasted, crisp and hot slices of bread accompanied with creamy and fresh goat cheese, topped with a delicious, sweet confit made with tomatoes, onions and herbs. The delightfully tart flavor of the goat cheese, in contrast with the sweetness of the tomato confit, makes this tapa a great choice. Dinner in Barcelona is always a pleasure for the most discerning palates.

What: Potato Chips with Chorizo Omelet

Where: El Xampanyet

A very common tapa, the one served in El Xampanyet is by far one of the best in the city. This version has very thin slices of potato which are first fried to obtain a crispy consistency, and then made into an omelet with chorizo. The combination of textures and the distinctive flavor of the chorizo will have you asking for seconds

What: Bomba de la Barceloneta

Where: Tapas 24

A classic recipe in bars and restaurants, this is one of those things that look like one thing on the outside, but are a completely different matter on the inside. These are balls of minced meat seasoned with hot sauce and herbs, covered with a layer of potato puree, then eggs and breadcrumbs, and finally fried to a crispy golden color, served with mayonnaise and topped with salsa brava. Truly one of the best tapas in Barcelona.
