THE PEOPLE AND PLANNING BEHIND YOUR TRIP
Your vacation deserves more than a list of reservations
A European vacation involves decisions which affect one another. A hotel location changes how much walking you do. A late train arrival affects dinner and check-in. Adding another country uses time you might prefer to spend enjoying a place.
Travel4Real brings those decisions together. Your travel expert starts with your interests, dates, room needs and budget, then develops a complete package of accommodations, sightseeing and ground transportation. You review the route and included services before moving ahead with booking.
Our family business began in 1995, when Deborah de Maio and her son, Rem Malloy, founded Italy4Real. Travel4Real carries that personal approach into European vacations beyond Italy, supported by the shared team and local partners behind both brands.
A travel expert who listens before building your route
Start by telling us what you want from your time away. Perhaps you enjoy a guided morning followed by a free afternoon. You might want several nights in one city, time for regional food, or a journey linking places your family has always wanted to visit.
We discuss the practical details as well: your preferred room configuration, walking distances, luggage, dietary requirements and how often you want to change hotels. Those details help us suggest a route suited to the people traveling.
Our team draws on time in Europe, hotel inspections, experience operating tours and relationships with local partners. Rem also personally guides selected trips. We use that experience to explain your options and the differences between them, so you understand the proposal you are reviewing.
Hotels chosen for their place in your vacation
A hotel is your base for the day, a place to rest between visits and part of how you experience a destination. Its location matters alongside the room itself. Being close to a historic center feels different from relying on transport for each outing.
Travel4Real plans around inspected four-star or higher accommodations. We consider location, room category and suitability for your party. Tell us whether you need twin beds, several rooms, easier access or another specific arrangement before we check options.
Your written proposal identifies the selected accommodation and room arrangements. We review availability for your dates and discuss alternatives when your preferred option is unavailable.
Transport and sightseeing planned as one journey
The route should work on the ground. We consider the time needed to reach a station, handle luggage, meet a driver and settle into your next hotel. A transfer day needs a different pace from a full day of sightseeing.
For a journey combining countries, we review the connections between them. Rail, private transfers and other transport are selected around your route and dates. Your proposal makes clear which services are included and where you have independent time.
The same thinking applies to sightseeing. We help balance major museums and landmarks with neighborhood walks, meals and time to pause. Your interests shape the choices, whether you prefer history, art, regional food or time by a lake or coast.
Understand the experience before you book
A private guide, a shared excursion and an independent visit offer different experiences. We identify the format in your proposal, along with the admissions and transport included. Popular tickets and seasonal activities are checked for your dates before reservations are confirmed.
Help with the journey beyond your land itinerary
Your departure from home and return journey deserve attention too. Our client-only flight research and booking service is available to travelers booking a complete Italy4Real or Travel4Real trip. Our airfare specialists review routes, schedules and connections around your vacation.
When you book flights through that service, the airfare team helps with airline schedule changes, cancellations and available alternatives. Ask your travel expert about the current research fee and booking terms when discussing your plans. Airline rules, seat availability and ticket conditions determine the options for a particular flight.
If you have a long drive to your departure airport, ask about airport hotel and parking packages. Options at participating U.S. airports combine an overnight stay with parking during your trip. The team confirms the location, dates, parking period, transfers and price before you book.
Electronic travel documents organized around your day
Your confirmed plans belong together, where you are able to find them during your trip. Our electronic itinerary and travel app bring your daily arrangements into one place on your phone, tablet or computer.
- Your day-by-day schedule and included activities.
- Hotel details, service confirmations and relevant vouchers.
- Meeting times, locations and local service contacts.
- Directions and map links for the next part of your journey.
Final electronic documents normally arrive one to two weeks before departure. Review them before you leave and save an offline copy of the details you need. Tell us about an error or change promptly so the team has time to address the arrangements.
A team to contact before and during your trip
Before departure, your travel expert and our customer service team help with questions about your booked arrangements. Sharing changes early gives us time to check the effect on hotels, transport and sightseeing.
During your vacation, the service contacts in your final documents connect you with the local partners handling your confirmed arrangements. Follow those instructions if a flight delay affects a transfer, you need to locate your guide or a booked service requires attention.
For a broader booking question, contact our shared team at info@italy4real.com and include your booking reference. Your documents explain the assistance arrangements for your particular trip.
A clear path from your ideas to confirmed plans
- Share your priorities. Tell us your dates, destinations, travelers, room needs and a comfortable budget.
- Discuss the route. Your expert helps balance the places you want to visit with the time available and your preferred pace.
- Review your proposal. Check the accommodation, sightseeing, transport and included services. Discuss changes before approving the arrangements.
- Confirm and prepare. Complete registration and follow the deposit instructions for your booking. We coordinate the confirmed services and prepare your final documents.
Pricing is on request because dates, party size, rooms and selected services affect the cost. Your proposal gives you a specific package to review, with optional additions identified separately.
Hear from travelers who have worked with our team
Personal service is easier to assess through someone’s experience of the planning and the trip itself. Our traveler reviews page shares attributed feedback from Italy4Real clients who worked with our shared team. Each review identifies its original trip rather than implying it describes a different Travel4Real itinerary.
You will also find Rem’s original photographs across selected tour pages. Their descriptions and photo credits identify the places he photographed. Learn more about Rem, Deborah and the people behind the family business on our About Travel4Real page.
