DAY 1

Arrive in London

Arrive in London and meet your driver at the airport, station or other central location confirmed in your travel documents. Continue to your selected four-star or higher accommodation, check in when your room is ready and take time to settle in after the journey.

Keep the remaining hours light. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a gentle introduction to the Thames and the neighborhoods around your hotel or stay close to the hotel for a quiet meal. Organized sightseeing starts after you have had time to rest. International travel before arrival is separate from the hotel-night count shown for this route.

DAY 2

London landmarks with a local guide

Meet your local guide for an introduction to London, following a route through selected landmarks and historic areas. The city is large, so we choose a practical combination rather than attempt every major sight in one day. Stops and walking distances reflect your interests and pace.

After the guided visit, take time for lunch and a relaxed afternoon. Admissions and any private transport appear in your proposal. Your guide's introduction helps with the independent days ahead, giving you ideas for neighborhoods, museums and places to return to during your stay.

DAY 3

Royal London and neighborhood time

Spend the day around the royal and historic part of London selected for your program. Follow the streets, parks and landmarks at a comfortable pace, with any interior visits agreed before quotation. Ceremonies depend on current schedules and are not assumed in the draft.

Allow time for lunch and an independent afternoon. Your travel expert will help balance major sights with travel across the city, leaving enough room to enjoy the visit. Additional admissions, tea experiences or evening performances remain optional until listed in the proposal.

DAY 4

London at leisure

Use a full independent day to enjoy London according to your interests. Choose a museum, follow a neighborhood walk, browse shops or spend time along the Thames. Your travel expert will suggest a manageable plan from your hotel rather than scatter visits across the city.

Any extra tour, show or admission should be agreed before quotation. Otherwise, the day stays flexible, with room for lunch and a break at the hotel. This is a chance to return to a favorite area and spend longer where you feel most interested.

DAY 5

Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water, a suggested village day

Leave London for a first look at the Cotswolds, with Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water as a suggested pairing. In Bibury, follow the public paths beside the River Coln and look along Arlington Row, where steep stone roofs and small cottage gardens give the village its familiar character. Allow time to appreciate the setting without treating the cottages, which are homes, as an attraction to enter.

Bourton-on-the-Water offers a different village scene, with low stone bridges crossing the shallow River Windrush, riverside greens and places to stop for lunch or tea. Enjoy a walk beside the water and browse the nearby shops. The photos show examples for your route. Your travel expert will confirm the exact schedule, village order, transport and included visits. This suggested day returns to London, though the village visits could instead be arranged during your countryside stay.

DAY 6

London to the Cotswolds, with Burford as a suggested stop

Check out of your London hotel and continue toward your Cotswolds base using the road transport agreed in your proposal. Burford makes an appealing possible stop along the way. Its High Street slopes toward the River Windrush, with stone-fronted houses, independent shops, traditional inns and small lanes inviting time on foot. A break here gives you a chance to settle into the region’s slower pace before hotel check-in.

Near the lower end of town, St John the Baptist Church adds context to Burford’s history, with its spire, stonework and churchyard providing a contrast to the busy High Street. Enjoy time for lunch and a walk if the agreed route allows, then continue to your selected countryside accommodation. Your travel expert will confirm the exact schedule, stop duration and hotel location, along with any guiding or admissions.

DAY 7

Stow-on-the-Wold and the surrounding countryside

Use your countryside base for another day among the Cotswolds towns and lanes, with Stow-on-the-Wold as a suggested focus. The market square reflects the town’s trading past and remains a good place to get your bearings. Walk past the stone buildings and old inns, browse antique shops or galleries, and leave time for coffee rather than moving straight on after a photograph.

Your route might also include a short village walk or a return to somewhere you particularly enjoyed. Driving time, walking distances and lunch stops will be balanced around your party. The day’s transport, whether a private driver, driver-guide or rental car, will be agreed in the proposal. Your travel expert will confirm the exact schedule and selected stops before booking. Return to the same Cotswolds hotel for your second countryside night.

DAY 8

Broadway and time to enjoy the Cotswolds

Keep the final countryside day flexible, with Broadway as a suggested outing. Its broad High Street, grass verges and limestone buildings make a rewarding setting for a walk, with galleries, shops and places for lunch or afternoon tea along the way. Spend longer in the village if browsing and a relaxed meal appeal more than another busy sightseeing day.

Above the village, Broadway Tower offers a separate countryside option, shown in Rem’s photograph. Discuss whether you prefer a village visit, a walk or time at the tower estate. Tower entry, any guided visit and transport are included only when listed in your proposal. Your travel expert will confirm the exact schedule to suit the weather, access, hotel location and your interests. Return to your Cotswolds accommodation for the final night.

DAY 9

Departure via London

Check out of your Cotswolds accommodation and take the arranged transfer to the London airport or onward connection confirmed in your proposal. We plan the departure time around the road journey and the airport's check-in requirements rather than add sightseeing on the way.

Your stay ends after the hotel nights listed for this route. If you prefer a later departure, extra night or extension, discuss the arrangements before booking so we plan the accommodation and transfers together. International flights, meals after check-out and additional services are separate unless expressly included in your written quote.

Hotels, transport and pace

Planning your trip

Is this a scheduled group departure?

This is a customized package with dates and services agreed for your party. Your proposal specifies whether individual activities use a private guide, a shared tour or independent time. No fixed group size or guaranteed departure is implied.

What does the price depend on?

Your travel dates, party size, room requirements, hotel choices and confirmed services determine the quote. Pricing is on request. We do not present historical client costs as current rates.

When should we contact you?

Contact us at least two months before departure. Six to eight months gives more choice for accommodation and popular experiences. We arrange complete packages of at least seven nights rather than individual services.

Are museums, cruises and special visits guaranteed?

Tickets and seasonal services depend on availability. We confirm the chosen visits and transport before booking, and agree alternatives when a service does not operate on your dates.

Where do we meet our guides and drivers?

Meeting points are your hotel lobby, the arrival terminal, station or a central location specified in your final travel documents. Exact meeting details follow the confirmed arrangements.

Read our trip-planning FAQs for the planning process, payments, travel insurance and cancellation information.
