9-Day Berlin & Munich

Private city walks, Berlin history, Munich culture and time for a respectfully guided Dachau memorial visit.

Your journey

Your 9-Day Berlin & Munich combines two contrasting German city stays, with three nights in Berlin and five in Munich. Local guides provide an introduction to each city, followed by time to explore your interests independently. A respectful Dachau Memorial visit forms part of the proposed Munich program, with transport and guiding confirmed before booking.

  • Berlin · 3 nights
  • Munich · 5 nights

9 days in Europe and 8 hotel nights. Day 1 is your arrival day. International travel before arrival is separate. Your package brings together four-star or higher accommodations, ground transportation and the sightseeing agreed in your written proposal.

Tour reference: T4R-11717. Supplier: Travel4Real. Custom dates. Pricing on request.

Your day-by-day itinerary

This proposed route is tailored to your dates and interests. The written quote confirms which guiding, tickets, meals and transfers are included. Independent-day suggestions are optional.

DAY 1

Arrive in Berlin

Arrive in Berlin and meet your driver at the airport, station or other central location confirmed in your travel documents. Continue to your selected four-star or higher accommodation, check in when your room is ready and take time to settle in after the journey.

Keep the remaining hours light. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a gentle introduction to the central landmarks and neighborhood streets or stay close to the hotel for a quiet meal. Organized sightseeing starts after you have had time to rest. International travel before arrival is separate from the hotel-night count shown for this route.

DAY 2

Berlin with a local guide

Meet your guide for an introduction to Berlin, connecting selected landmarks with the city's layered history. The route is planned around your interests and preferred pace, with time for explanation rather than a rapid sequence of stops across a large city.

After the guided visit, enjoy lunch and independent time. Admissions and any transport between neighborhoods are identified in your proposal. The introduction gives you a basis for exploring further during the stay, with the evening left open for dinner and a relaxed return to the hotel.

DAY 3

Berlin history and independent time

Spend the day focusing on the parts of Berlin's history you most want to understand. Your travel expert will help select a museum, memorial or neighborhood route, allowing enough time to engage with the subject rather than attempting several major institutions in one visit.

Any guided element and admission are confirmed in the proposal. Keep part of the day free for lunch and a break, particularly when visits cover difficult historical material. You remain in Berlin tonight, with an open evening and no need to combine the day with onward travel.

DAY 4

Berlin to Munich

Check out after breakfast and continue from Berlin to Munich using the rail service and local transfers selected for your dates. Your travel documents confirm the departure point, timing, baggage arrangements and any station or airport transfers. We allow practical time for the journey rather than adding a major sightseeing commitment before check-in.

Settle into your accommodation in Munich, then enjoy an independent introduction to the old town and public squares. Pause for lunch or dinner as the timing allows, and leave room to rest before the next full day of sightseeing. The final proposal confirms the transport and services included on this travel day.

DAY 5

Munich's old town

Meet your local guide for a walk through Munich's historic center, with its squares, public buildings and streets providing the framework for the visit. Take time to hear the stories behind the architecture and find places to return to during your independent hours.

Afterward, enjoy lunch and a flexible afternoon. Your proposal confirms any admissions and the length of guiding. There is no need to fit every museum or neighborhood into this first visit, as your stay allows time for additional interests at a more comfortable pace.

DAY 6

A respectful visit to Dachau Memorial

Travel to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site for the visit agreed in your program. The emphasis is on historical understanding and remembrance, with sufficient time for the selected exhibition and grounds rather than treating the memorial as a brief sightseeing stop.

Return to Munich afterward and keep the rest of the day light. Your proposal confirms transport and guiding, with current visitor arrangements checked before booking. The subject matter is distressing, so discuss suitability for younger travelers and your party's preferences while planning the visit.

DAY 7

Munich museums and independent time

Enjoy a full independent day in Munich, following the interests you identified during the first city walk. Choose a museum, spend time in a park or return to the old town for lunch and browsing. Your hotel remains the same, so the day stays easy to adjust.

Your travel expert will suggest a practical route and clarify which admissions require advance arrangements. Extra guiding or a countryside excursion remains optional until confirmed in the proposal. Otherwise, keep the afternoon and evening open and enjoy a slower pace.

DAY 8

A further day to enjoy Munich

Leave another day free in Munich for the places you have not yet had time to enjoy. A neighborhood walk, market area or a longer café stop offers a different rhythm from the guided sightseeing and memorial visit. Take time for lunch and an unhurried afternoon.

If you prefer a Bavarian countryside trip, discuss the route, travel time and services before quotation. No extra excursion is implied by the free day. Your travel expert will help match any addition to the weather, season and walking level of your party.

DAY 9

Depart from Munich

Enjoy breakfast as your departure time allows, check out and meet your driver at the location confirmed in your travel documents. Continue to the airport, station or onward connection specified in your proposal, leaving appropriate time for check-in and departure procedures.

Your stay ends after the hotel nights listed for this route. If you prefer a later departure, extra night or extension, discuss the arrangements before booking so we plan the accommodation and transfers together. International flights, meals after check-out and additional services are separate unless expressly included in your written quote.

Departure day. No additional hotel night included.

Hotels, transport and pace

We confirm hotel names, room categories and transport before booking. Tell us about mobility needs, luggage and preferred walking distances during planning. Seasonal boats, mountain services and weather-dependent activities require date-specific checks.

Planning your trip

Is this a scheduled group departure?

This is a customized package with dates and services agreed for your party. Your proposal specifies whether individual activities use a private guide, a shared tour or independent time. No fixed group size or guaranteed departure is implied.

What does the price depend on?

Your travel dates, party size, room requirements, hotel choices and confirmed services determine the quote. Pricing is on request. We do not present historical client costs as current rates.

When should we contact you?

Contact us at least two months before departure. Six to eight months gives more choice for accommodation and popular experiences. We arrange complete packages of at least seven nights rather than individual services.

Are museums, cruises and special visits guaranteed?

Tickets and seasonal services depend on availability. We confirm the chosen visits and transport before booking, and agree alternatives when a service does not operate on your dates.

Where do we meet our guides and drivers?

Meeting points are your hotel lobby, the arrival terminal, station or a central location specified in your final travel documents. Exact meeting details follow the confirmed arrangements.
