LOOKING TO PARTY WHILE IN SANTORINI?

Whoever goes to Santorini thinking about having a quiet holiday with a lover or family is certainly going to get their wish, but if you want more than that, you can definitely get it, too.

On the one hand, the island has a fascinating landscape. It is also the very visible proof of how nature shattered the dream of a distant civilization and it bears the landmark of all the historical and mythological struggles that happened there. On the other hand, the island has a completely different face: long, magical and unforgettable nights!

Those who want a holiday in Santorini but don’t want to get involved in the cultural activities can start having fun on the beaches during the early afternoon. There are many places to go and let out some steam: Monolithos and Perissa have many different kinds of bars on their shores, and you can find houses for rent, too. But if you’re looking for serious fun, then Perivolos is the place to go.

Here you can find lots of young people, who in between dives, sun, and culinary delights, spend their afternoons leisurely waiting for nightfall. The beach offers not only sports activities: there are also numerous disco bars visited by hundreds.

Noteworthy places are Chilli Bar and Wet Stories: Chilli Bar is frequented by Greek tourists, and offers disco music with rotating DJs, who encourage the attendance to drink, jump and have fun. Wet Stories receives international tourists, and every evening offers pop rock music, sometimes live.

At night, you have a difficult choice to make, because there are so many possibilities! If you go to Thira, you can find anything you want. There are many interesting and fun disco bars, such as Town, Trip in the Music, and Tropical.

Among the clubs, the most famous and most frequented are Enigma and Koo Club. Both have closed dance floors while outdoor there are bars and open spaces, with tables and beach chairs to stretch under the umbrellas.

Koo has two levels. The ground floor houses the dance area, and the first floor is a wide terrace decorated with palm trees, chaises, tables, and more dancing space.

If clubbing is not your thing, there is a special place: Kira Thira, a jazz bar with live music every night. Its special atmosphere, a great wooden bench, an anonymous fresco on the wall that represents the struggle between good and evil, musical instruments hanging from the ceiling, and the wonderful music, make this bar a wonderful option.

After a night of partying, around 5 a.m., bars and clubs start closing. People leave the clubs and bars to admire the sunrise from the beach, visit Pyrgos Monastery to have a view of the whole island or, if they are not tired, visit one of the after hours clubs in Monolithos, Kamari or Perissa.

These are the nights in Santorini, a special place for tourists!
